Hydraulic transmission device is widely used for modern oil drilling rig. Its typical transmission system is diesel engine + hydraulic transmission device + parallel chain which drive the working machine (winch, rotary table and mud pump) together. This hydraulic transmission system not only makes a high use of the coupling set, but also the reliable operation of all sets.
With the rapid development of drilling technology, various new drilling rigs have been developed and produced, such as fully automatic electrically driven drilling rig, hydraulic drilling rig, hydro-electric driven drilling rig and truck-mounted drilling rig, with new design, good performance and strong characteristic of times. As for the general transmission of them is the mud pump set used, that diesel engine (motor) drives the mud pump which is separately driven with winch and rotary table.
The conventional mud pump set is that diesel engine drives the mud pump through a gear box, clutch and combined V belt, which is large in size and complex in system, and also pump displacement and pressure can only be adjusted by regulating the throttle of engine or replacing cylinder liner of mud pump. Since it’s no good for frequent change of the pump liner and no good for diesel engine working at low speed range, and the displacement and pressure of mud pump can only adjusted at a limited range, resulting in not satisfying the requirement of drilling technology.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems and meet the development need of new drilling rig, our company has developed the guide speed-governing hydraulic coupling reverse reducing gear box.
The combined use of diesel engine-hydraulic coupling reverse-gear box set and mud pump has the following advantages
1.The diesel engine coupling reverse-gear box is adopted to drive the mud pump. This fact eliminates the need for belt transmission, mechanical reducer and air bag clutch, and provides simplified transmission system, higher efficiency, reduced volume and weight and higher mobility.
2. The diesel engine and hydraulic coupling reverse-gear box are coupled via the high-elastic coupling, and are installed on a shared chassis with a combined high-pressure water cooling system. This feature simplifies the cooling system in the coupling and reduces auxiliary power consumption. The structure is compact and reliable.
3. Under drilling conditions, the mud pump driven by a diesel engine coupling reverse-gear box can reach different discharge capacities and pumping pressures controlled by adjusting diesel engine throttle or replacing cylinder sleeve or regulating opening of pneumatic control valve of coupling within limits in a stepless manner, so that the diesel engine can operate efficiently normally (≥1000r/min).
4.With functions of clutch, it is possible to apply the clutch when no impact and wearing appear.
